What Our Gearhead(R) Experts Are Saying:"I skinned up a ridge before sunrise on the Powderworks Lotus Tour 117 Ski to beat the rope drop crowd entirely, and the climb felt shockingly light for a 117 underfoot. Once I dropped in, the carbon and flax layup held its own through untracked powder without ever feeling flimsy."Getting up before the sun and skinning past the rope drop line is its own reward, and the DPS Powderworks Lotus Tour 117 Ski is built for exactly that pursuit. Break trail into an untouched bowl while the resort crowd waits for the first chair, and the Lotus 117 shape floats through deep snow the same way it always has, just without the weight you'd expect from something this capable. A paulownia wood core paired with a carbon fiber and flax laminate keeps the ski light on the way up without sacrificing stability on the way down, and the factory applied Phantom Glide base treatment means you're ready to go even weeks removed from the wax bench. The partial twin tip and 45% tip and tail rocker help this ski stay playful in the powder, not just efficient on the climb.
