evo.com | K2 Snowboards > The K2 Alchemist Snowboard makes steep lines look inviting and cliff drops seem like reasonable decisions. A powerful 9/10 flex and premium technology like the S1 Pro Core, Spectral Braid, SpaceGlass(TM) Tip Insert, and Recess3D deliver incredible precision, stability, and float without giving up the freedom to send natural features or charge hardpack with confidence. For riders who expect one board to dominate powder, big terrain, and everything in between, the Alchemist is pure mountain science. 2x4 Inserts S1 Pro Core K2's premium wood core blends bamboo, aspen, and paulownia with strategically angled bamboo and aspen underfoot to maximize snap, edge-to-edge response, damping, durability, and pressure distribution, while lightweight paulownia reduces swing weight. It's essentially an upgraded version of the S1 Core, tuned for higher-performance freeride boards. Directional Camber Profile The most responsive camber profile in the line features camber running from in front of the front foot to the tail of the board with slight early rise in the nose. This gives the rider the most precision and control possible in any terrain while still floating effortlessly in the deep stuff.
