What Our Gearhead(R) Experts Are Saying:"I swapped the Cosmic SLR 45 Wheel LTD Silver onto my road bike before a big sportive, and the difference in how the wheels rolled out of corners and held speed on the flats was immediately noticeable. The silver finish is genuinely striking in person, and the ceramic bearing smoothness is the kind of thing you feel more than you measure."Fast wheels reward effort honestly, and the Cosmic SLR 45 Wheel LTD Silver from Mavic delivers that return on every ride. The 45mm carbon rim sits wide at 23mm internally, creating a seamless transition between rim and tire that reduces aerodynamic drag and stabilizes airflow in crosswinds, while the limited silver finish gives the wheel a presence that stands apart from the standard carbon aesthetic. Ceramic bearings paired with low-density grease and ultra-low-friction seals keep the hubs spinning with a smoothness that compounds over long miles, and the Instant Drive 360 freewheel system translates pedal input into forward motion without delay. FORE technology locks the stainless steel spokes directly into the rim at an optimal angle, stiffening the structure and making tubeless setup faster and more reliable straight out of the box.
