What Our Gearhead(R) Experts Are Saying:"I racked up a set of Alpine Express Dyneema Quickdraws for a long alpine route last season, and the weight savings over a standard draw are genuinely noticeable over a full day on the wall. The Photon Wire carabiners are easy to clip even with gloves on, and the 60cm Dyneema sling gives you the extension you need to manage rope drag on wandering lines without adding bulk to the rack."Long alpine routes have a way of making every gram on your harness feel like a conversation you have with yourself on the approach. The CAMP Alpine Express Dyneema Quickdraw is the answer to that conversation. Pairing two Photon Wire carabiners with a 60cm Dyneema sling, it gives you a full-size, full-strength quickdraw that weighs just 81 grams and disappears on the rack until you actually need it. The Photon Wire is the lightest full-size carabiner available, and the 26mm gate opening stays manageable even with gloved hands on cold alpine terrain. Dyneema slings bring their own advantages beyond weight savings, shedding water faster and resisting the kind of moisture absorption that can compromise nylon in wet alpine conditions. At 60cm, the sling length offers real versatility for extending past roofs, managing rope drag on wandering pitches, or improvising anchor setups when the route demands it. This is the draw you reach for when the objective is serious, and the rack needs to be lean.
