"Women's Ryka® Hydro Sport: The Ryka® Hydro Sport is a women's water fitness shoe built for aqua aerobics, kayaking, and any workout that puts you in or around the water. It carries the APMA Seal of Acceptance from the American Podiatric Medical Association for promoting good foot health, and it's designed specifically for a woman's foot - narrower heel, roomier toe box, and softer cushioning where you need it most. If you spend time in the pool or on the water and want a shoe that keeps up, this one is worth a close look.Under the foot, a lightweight EVA midsole with drainage holes pairs with a removable Nitracel insole - also with drainage holes - to move water out quickly so the shoe doesn't weigh you down mid-workout. The multi-port drainage system works with quick-drying, chlorine-friendly mesh to keep things moving, while faux leather overlays add durability where the shoe takes the most wear. A toggle lacing system makes getting in and out easy, the padded collar adds cushioning around the ankle, and the sticky rubber outsole gives you real traction on wet surfaces where a standard sole would slip. At 8.4 ounces per shoe, it stays light enough to move freely through water-based training. Why Our Fit Experts Love This Shoe""I always recommend the Hydro Sport to customers who do water aerobics because it actually stays secure and doesn't feel waterlogged. The drainage system does its job - water moves through instead of sitting in the shoe - and the toggle lacing means you're not fumbling with wet laces at the pool deck."" - Rachel, Road Runner Sports Fit Expert, Carlsbad, CAWho It's Best ForIf you take water aerobics classes, paddle on open water, or do any high-intensity workout in or near the water, the Hydro Sport is built around that specific need. It's a strong fit for women who want a water fitness shoe with real midfoot support, a women's-specific fit, and a sole that grips wet surfaces confidently. The chlorine-friendly materials make it a practical choice for regular pool use, and the APMA Seal of Acceptance gives extra reassurance for anyone focused on foot health.
