"What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:""The Crown3 60 nails that sweet spot between ultralight and all-day comfortable. The removable frame sheet is perfect for dialing weight depending on the trip, and the Re-Fit hip belt really locks in a secure, custom fit. I love how the lid converts to a lumbar or chest pack—it’s a clever feature that makes long treks feel way more organized.""When we’re counting ounces but not willing to sacrifice comfort, we reach for the Granite Gear Crown3 60L Backpack. This ultralight pack carries its weight effortlessly thanks to the Vapor Current Mark 3 frame system—a compression-molded PE frame sheet and foam back panel that balance breathability, structure, and support. With a base weight under 2. 5 pounds, the Crown3 keeps us light on our feet during high-mileage days without compromising durability. The fully adjustable Re-Fit hip belt delivers a secure, custom fit, while the roll-top closure and side compression straps make it easy to manage varying loads. When packing light, we can remove the frame sheet to drop the weight to just 2 pounds, or reinforce it with the optional U-shaped aluminum stay for heavier carries. The removable lid adds even more versatility, converting into a lumbar or chest pack for summit pushes and day hikes. Crafted from tough Robic nylon with Barrier DWR, the Crown3 60L is designed for thru-hikes, multi-day treks, and anyone chasing a lighter, smarter load on the trail."
