As long as the search for large game fish goes on, top anglers will rely on the legendary strength and performance of the PENN International VI Single-Speed Lever Drag Reel. There are no special adjustments to make; simply set the drag lever to the strike position, and get your bait in the water. No other single-speed reel gives you a better chance of landing the fish of a lifetime than a PENN International VI. There are no shortcuts taken in its manufacture. This 6th-generation world-class reel features a fully machined and anodized aluminum Full Metal Body and sideplates for maximum strength-to-weight ratio, with virtually zero flex even when spooled with heavy braid. The rugged spool is braid-ready and features line capacity rings graduated by thirds for easy reference. Hard stainless steel main and pinion gears ensure ultimate integrity and strength. With 5 shielded stainless steel ball bearings, you can expect smooth performance today, tomorrow, and well into the future. Meanwhile, the double-dog ratchet anti-reverse prevents line slippage beyond your own settings made via the Versa-Strike Adjustable Strike Stop system. The hesitation-free Dura-Drag system functions flawlessly through a wide range of settings; advanced Line Shedding Lug design makes it impossible for the line to snap off at the reel. If you're on a saltwater trophy quest, a PENN International VI reel is your only ironclad choice. Gold finish.
