What Our Gearhead(R) Experts Are Saying: "I've worn the Ferrosi Trail Gaiters on hot, buggy hikes and dusty trail runs-they're light, breathable, and stay in place all day. The Insect Shield is a huge bonus, and I love the new internal strap adjustment you can tweak without taking off your shoes." When the trail ahead is rugged and the air is thick with bugs, we turn to the Outdoor Research Insect Shield Ferrosi Trail Gaiters to keep our ankles shielded and our stride uninterrupted. Built with updated bluesign(R)-approved Ferrosi fabric, these gaiters combine breathable stretch, abrasion resistance, and insect-repelling technology into one ultralight, low-profile package. Designed for technical trails and warm-weather missions, they shed debris and light weather while offering movement-mirroring stretch for unrestricted motion. A bonded stretch hem and Hypalon instep strap lock them in place through miles of rocky terrain, while the offset hook-and-loop closure makes left and right sides easy to identify at a glance. With bug protection baked in and a fit that's easy to adjust on the go, these gaiters are our go-to for fast, protected movement through buggy, brushy terrain.
