"Men's Merrell® Nova 4: The Men's Merrell Nova 4 is a neutral trail running shoe built for runners who want max cushioning and reliable traction on the trail. The FloatPro™ Foam midsole keeps the ride soft and comfortable mile after mile, while an 8mm heel-to-toe drop supports a balanced, natural stride. If you have medium to high arches and prefer a neutral fit without a lot of added structure, this shoe is worth a close look. The wider fit and higher instep give it a roomier feel that works well on longer efforts when feet tend to swell.Out on the trail, the Merrell Quantum Grip™ rubber outsole with 4mm lugs holds its footing across loose dirt, wet rock, and uneven terrain. The breathable mesh and TPU upper keeps things light and moving air around your foot, and the bellows tongue seals out trail debris so you can stay focused on the run instead of stopping to shake out your shoe. The padded collar rounds out the fit with a secure, comfortable feel around the ankle. Why Our Fit Experts Love This Shoe""I put a customer in these who was tired of trail shoes that felt stiff and narrow, and the Nova 4 was a completely different experience for him. The cushioning is genuinely soft, and the wider fit made a real difference on a longer run. The grip held up well on some rocky sections too - no slipping around."" - Michael, Road Runner Sports Fit Expert, Seattle WAWho It's Best ForIf you're a neutral runner with medium to high arches looking for a cushioned trail running shoe that handles varied terrain without feeling stiff or narrow, the Nova 4 is a strong fit.
