With the current trend toward casting larger flies for everything, the Sage Payload Fly Rod fits most anglers' approach perfectly. It offers all the wind-punching, distance-munching power you need to deliver the goods, yet provides enviable comfort and forgiveness throughout the day. Specifically built with Sage's KonneticHD Technology to minimize the effort needed to launch bulky flies and streamers, the Payload pairs a softer butt section with extreme tip power to not only put your fly where you want it, but pick up line more easily and put added leverage on your side during the fight. Quality fittings include Fuji Tangle Free ceramic stripper guides; oversized hard chromed snake guides and tip-tops; heavy-duty anodized aluminum up-locking reel seat; and Super Plus full-wells cork handle with a cork composite fighting butt. Comes with a ballistic rod tube.
