Rio Ammunition Wing & Target Features The Rio Ammunition Wing and Target load uses #8 lead shot in a 1-1/8 oz payload a combination long favored by clay target shooters and upland hunters for its balance of pattern density and pellet energy. At 1250 fps the load offers enough velocity to break clays consistently while keeping recoil manageable across a full day of shooting. Lead shot construction gives this load traditional patterning characteristics that many shooters prefer over steel for target work. The 2.75 hull length fits the widest range of 12 gauge shotguns from field guns to dedicated trap and skeet models. Rio builds this shell for shooters who want consistent no-frills performance suited to both the clay range and light upland hunting. The #8 shot size is a versatile choice that patterns well for trap skeet and sporting clays while still offering enough pellet count for small game in the field. Sold in a 25-round box this load gives shooters a practical amount of ammunition for a single range session. For shooters who want a dependable traditional lead shotshell for target and field use the Rio Wing and Target load is a solid proven choice.
