Cimarron Firearms Sharps Slotter and Co. Features The Cimarron Firearms Sharps Slotter and Co. uses a falling block action the same mechanism that made the original Sharps rifles legendary for accuracy and reliability on the American frontier. The 30 inch octagonal-to-round barrel adds heft that helps steady the rifle for precise deliberate shots at extended range. A 1:18 twist rate is matched to the heavy slow-moving .45-70 Govt cartridge stabilizing both cast lead and jacketed bullet designs. Double set triggers let shooters engage a lighter crisper release for improved accuracy on demanding long-range or silhouette targets. The case colored and blued metal finish delivers the vibrant mottled coloring collectors and history enthusiasts associate with genuine period firearms achieved through a traditional heat-treatment process. A high-grade maple stock complements the case coloring with a classic richly figured appearance uncommon on modern rifles. At just over 11 pounds the rifle s weight helps absorb recoil from the powerful .45-70 cartridge during extended range sessions. Built for shooters who appreciate craftsmanship and heritage the Sharps Slotter and Co. brings genuine frontier-era style to modern black powder cartridge shooting.
