Product Description
Overall length is approximately 38 1/2". The 22" round .52 Rimfire caliber barrel has a good bright bore with strong rifling and some pitting in the grooves. All metal is a smooth gray/brown patina. The stock is good with issue dents and dings, including a large dent above the front of the lock. Two cartouches are visible on the left side. The action functions correctly. The single shot action is loaded by pivoting the breech block up and to the left. The lock is marked Joslyn Fire Arms Co./ Stonington Conn./ 1864. This is one of the basic, most used Union Civil War carbines. It would fit any military carbine collection. (AL5256)
