NSN, circa mid-19th century, .41 caliber, 32" octagonal barrel. Barrel and lock plate are a dark brown patina. Barrel is stamped "Great Western/ Gun Works-Pittsburgh,PA". Lock plate is unmarked, possible due to the oxidation. Stock has repair work visible and a crack noted forward of the lock plate. Double set trigger's function but action does not hold at full cock.
