N. Lewis Troy N.Y. Marked Target Rifle. Barrel length is 29 3/4", with filler screws on the top flat area two and two 15" apart for telescope bases. Rifle has set triggers. Action and triggers work perfectly. Front sight is a silver blade. Rear sight is a post on the tang without a diopter. Barrel has approximately 90% original blue. This is a heavy barrel target rifle weighting 10lbs. 10oz. Nelson Lewis worked 1843-1888 making percussion guns and was a prolific maker of target rifles. We have sold approximately 20 of Lewis target guns. They are very well made. The muzzle has receptacle for a false muzzle, but we do not have the false muzzle. Stock is very good plus. Bore is excellent with strong lands and grooves. (AL4898)
