.66 caliber 37" round barrel flintlock Chief's Grade Trade Gun by Morley circa early 1800's in overall good condition. Metal is a dull grey patina with pin-prick oxidation present. German silver Indian Chiefs head is visible at the wrist. Wood is good with an old repaired crack right side above the lock plate. Lock plate is marked "G Morley" and barrel is marked "London with Birmingham proof marks noted. Action mechanically functions correctly, These guns were highly thought of by the Native Americans!
