Product Description
Scarce 1840 L. Pomeroy muskets that has been converted to percussion. Musket was then sent off to Frankford Arsenal where it was rifled and upgraded with a long range rear sight. These muskets were sent back to the state of Virginia before the Civil War. Overall good condition, metal is a mottled grey patina with strong markings noted. Stock is good with cartouches visible, action functions correctly. Less than 500 of these long arms are known to have been manufactured. This model is considered to be a scarce secondary Confederate musket. (AL8025)
