NSN, circa 1840's, .69 caliber, 40" round smooth bore. Barrel has been cut and is a smooth dark brown patina. Heavy oxidation is visible around the nipple and bolster, wood loss is also evident around the area. This means the musket saw heavy use possible during the civil war. Stock has expected nicks, dings scratches from "combat!", cartouche is still present on stock. Action functions correctly. (AL9859)
