These rifles were reinforced with features like wire wrapping on the stock and were marked with a "GF" receiver, indicating their role as a grenade firing rifle. The modification allowed them to launch grenades using a blank cartridge, extending their range beyond that of hand-thrown grenades. Rifle shoots 303 British. The gun is in better condition than photos show. The rifle spent part of its life preserved in oil so the wood is darker now but could be cleaned up easily with a solvent or seed oil
