NSN, circa 1861, .577 caliber, 39" round commercial proofed barrel. Barrel and other iron parts are a mixture of a plum-brown to grey patina with light surface oxidation, mostly at the wood line. Lock plate is marked "Parker Field & Son's/London" Bore is partially bright with some areas of frosting and pitting visible in the rifling. Stock remains in very good condition with expected nicks, dings and scratches noted. Confederate markings are still visible with "CONFEDERATE "CROWN"/SHC" inspector stamp at the heel, circled "IC" cartouche on the left flat with "CSA" stamped in front of the trigger guard.
