KelTec KP50 5.7x28mm Semi-Auto Pistol Next-Generation PDW Platform with 50-Round Capacity The KelTec KP50 represents the evolution of high-capacity personal defense weaponry, delivering 50 rounds of 5.7x28mm firepower in a compact, controllable platform. Engineered to refine and advance the original P50 concept, the KP50 features a completely redesigned bottom-insert, drop-free magazine system that eliminates the previous top-hinged reload process. This fundamental improvement enables faster, more intuitive magazine changes with dramatically improved ergonomics while maintaining exceptional ammunition capacity. This configuration delivers the KP50 as a dedicated pistol platform without the side-folding brace, reducing weight to 3.2 lbs unloaded while preserving the full firepower and functionality that defines the platform. Chambered in the high-velocity 5.7x28mm cartridge, the KP50 combines rifle-like ballistics with minimal recoil and barrier-penetrating capability in a package sized for vehicle storage, backpack carry, and close-quarters deployment. Revolutionary Magazine System The KP50's bottom-insert, drop-free magazine represents a complete redesign over previous generations. Traditional magazine well placement enables instinctive reloads that leverage existing muscle memory from standard pistol platforms. Magazines drop free when released, accelerating reload speed and eliminating fumbling under stress. The 50-round capacity delivers sustained firepower without the bulk of drum magazines or the complexity of belt-fed systems. Jungle Clip Compatibility While this model ships with a single 50-round magazine, the KP50 is fully compatible with KelTec's Jungle Clip system. This innovative configuration pairs two 50-round magazines back-to-back for 100 rounds of immediate capacity-simply deplete one magazine, flip 180 degrees, and reinsert. Optional Jungle Clip components enable the highest onboard capacity available in this size class. 5.7x28mm Performance Chambering The 5.7x28mm cartridge delivers flat trajectory, minimal recoil impulse, and barrier-blind penetration characteristics originally developed for military PDW applications. This round provides rifle-like terminal performance from a compact platform while enabling the extreme magazine capacities that define the KP50's tactical advantage. Low recoil enables rapid follow-up shots even during extended strings of fire. Threaded Barrel and Adaptability The 9.6-inch barrel features 1/2x28 TPI threading for suppressor or muzzle device attachment. The 1:7 twist rate stabilizes the full range of 5.7x28mm projectiles from lightweight varmint loads to barrier-penetrating defensive ammunition. A rear Picatinny-style rail provides mounting options for accessories and optics. The B5 Systems grip delivers proven ergonomic interface trusted by professional users. Compact Defensive Platform At just 18.6 inches in overall length and 6.5 inches in height, the KP50 maintains a compact footprint suitable for vehicle deployment, backpack carry, and confined spaces. The 2.5-inch width preserves maneuverability while the lightweight construction (3.2 lbs unloaded, 4.3 lbs with loaded magazine) reduces fatigue during extended carry. The KelTec KP50 delivers extreme capacity in a compact, highly controllable format. This is the next evolution of the PDW platform-covert, capable, and uncompromising.
