The Shimano Ultegra PD-R8200 pedal brings the new low-stack SPD-SLR interface down from Shimano's flagship platform, shortening the distance between foot and pedal axle for a more direct connection to the bike. A wider contact platform spreads pressure across a bigger surface during hard efforts, and a refined pedal shape with a wider cleat catch makes clipping in faster and more consistent. This build runs a spindle 4 millimeters longer than standard, widening stance for riders who track their knees better with more room between the pedals. What Our Gearhead(R) Experts Are Saying:"A rider who'd been running spacers under a standard pedal for years finally got that same width built into the spindle itself with this one, and the knee tracking issue that spacers never quite fixed went away."
