The Rossignol Soul Kid Ski and Team 4 GW Binding make a kids' ski and binding package for a young skier's first days on snow, pairing a forgiving, twin-tip ski with a binding a kid can learn to step into alone. The binding's 76 millimeter brake matches the ski's 76 millimeter waist, and its composite build keeps the whole setup light. What Our Gearhead(R) Experts Are Saying:"At the bottom of the lift I used to crouch in the snow fixing bindings, and with this setup my kid clicks in alone, because the heel opens wide enough for a small boot to find it. The forgiving flex lets them focus on turning instead of fighting the skis, which is why I'd pick this package for a first season."
