The Caldwell 2x4 Plate Hanger is a purpose-built range accessory for mounting compatible Caldwell AR500 steel targets on a standard 2x4 post. Its steel body fits over the top of the post, creating a straightforward attachment point for adding a steel plate to a target stand. This configuration is useful for shooters building a new range setup as well as those replacing or updating the hanger on an existing 2x4-based stand. Installation is direct: position the hanger at the top of the post and secure the assembly with the included hardware. The top-mounted design keeps the supporting components together in a compact arrangement and eliminates the need to improvise a connection between the wooden post and the target. Finished in black, the hanger has a simple appearance that works naturally with common range equipment. This is the 2x4 version of Caldwell's plate-hanger system, so it should be selected specifically for stands that use a standard 2x4 post rather than a T-post or another support style. It is also designed around Caldwell AR500 steel targets, making compatibility an important consideration when planning the complete setup. The hanger serves as the connecting component within that system rather than as a complete target stand by itself. For shooters who regularly practice with steel, this accessory offers a practical way to organize a reusable target station around readily available 2x4 lumber. The included mounting hardware keeps the necessary attachment components with the hanger, helping simplify initial assembly, replacement, or transport to the range. Its focused design makes it a useful choice for recreational practice areas, established shooting ranges, and other controlled locations where compatible Caldwell steel targets are used.Specifications and Features: Fits standard 2x4 posts Designed for Caldwell AR500 steel targets Top-of-post mounting configuration Steel construction Black finish Mounting hardware included Brand: Caldwell Product Type: Steel Target Plate Hanger Manufacturer Part Number: 1102670 UPC: 661120075714
