The CRKT M16-01S is a compact folding knife based on Kit Carson's practical M16 design and configured for everyday cutting work. Its 3.06-inch spear point blade provides a narrow, useful profile for opening packages, cutting cord, making controlled utility cuts, and handling routine jobs around the home, shop, campsite, or workplace. The blade is made from 8Cr14MoV stainless steel and has a plain cutting edge that can be sharpened along its full length without working around serrations. A bead-blasted finish gives the blade a subdued silver appearance, while the 0.10-inch blade thickness balances the slim shape with dependable utility. The signature Carson Flipper allows the user to start blade deployment with an index finger, and the protruding flipper also serves as a guard when the knife is open. A frame lock built into the handle holds the blade in its working position without the added complexity of a separate locking component. Black stainless steel handle panels provide a rigid structure, and the circular cutouts reduce unnecessary bulk while maintaining the recognizable M16 profile. At 4 inches closed and 7.19 inches overall, this version is sized to deliver a functional cutting edge without taking up excessive pocket space. Its published 2.6-ounce weight further supports comfortable daily carry. The attached pocket clip keeps the knife readily accessible, while the lanyard hole offers another retention or carry option. The open-frame construction also leaves the interior more accessible when routine cleaning is needed. With its plain spear point blade, manual flipper deployment, stainless steel construction, and straightforward frame-lock configuration, the M16-01S is a practical choice for customers who want a slim folding knife with the distinctive lines of CRKT's long-running M16 series.Specifications and Features: 3.06-inch plain-edge spear point blade 8Cr14MoV stainless steel blade Bead-blasted blade finish 0.10-inch blade thickness Black stainless steel handle with weight-reducing cutouts Carson Flipper blade deployment Frame lock secures the open blade 4-inch closed length; 7.19-inch overall length Pocket clip and lanyard hole Product Weight: 2.6 oz Brand: CRKT Series: M16 Product Type: Folding EDC Knife Manufacturer Part Number: M16-01S UPC: 794023090154
