The Shimano Talavera A Type J Casting Rod gives saltwater jig anglers a fast, powerful 6-foot one-piece rod for speed jigging over wrecks, reefs, ledges, and bait schools for tuna, amberjack, grouper, snapper, striped bass, and other hard-pulling gamefish. Redesigned for elevated jigging performance, this graphite casting rod loads and recovers with the crisp cadence needed to make metal jigs dart, kick, and fall naturally through the strike zone. DIAFLASH reinforces the butt section with opposing wraps of carbon tape to minimize twist, maximize strength, and add control during precise drops, solid hooksets, and heavy fights. Fuji Guides reduce line friction and twist for smoother casting and better durability under load, while the custom-shaped EVA grips and EVA rod butt help anglers stay comfortable and locked in through repeated drops and long days on saltwater. 6-foot, one-piece casting rod with fast action for saltwater jigging Graphite blank delivers responsive feel and efficient jig control DIAFLASH butt-section reinforcement helps reduce twist and increase strength Tuned for speed jigging cadence, quick recovery, and strike-triggering jig action Fuji Guides reduce line friction and line twist for smoother performance Custom-shaped EVA grips provide all-day comfort during repeated drops EVA rod butt adds comfort and leverage when fighting powerful fish Targets a wide range of saltwater gamefish, including tuna, amberjack, grouper, snapper, and stripers Manufacturer's one-year limited warranty
