The Avet MXL Raptor Plus Two-Speed Lever Drag Conventional Reel gives saltwater and Great Lakes anglers wider-spool capacity, dual-drag stopping power, and two-speed cranking control for live bait fishing, trolling, jigging, and bottom fishing for tuna, mahi, striped bass, grouper, snapper, salmon, lake trout, and other hard-fighting fish. Available in left- or right-hand retrieve, the MXL Raptor Plus pairs precision-machined 6061 T-6 marine-grade aluminum with stainless steel components, precision-machined stainless steel gears, and an anodized finish for corrosion resistance around saltwater, spray, and heavy boat use. Its re-designed true one-piece frame improves strength-to-weight performance, while Avet's patented dual carbon fiber drag system and reliable Avedrag dry carbon fiber drags provide smooth stopping power and wear resistance under heavy pressure. The powerful lever drag system with adjustable strike pre-set, ratcheting Glide Plate, and Strike Stop Button gives anglers controlled drag changes during long fights, and the patented silent dog and gear anti-reverse reduces handle back-play. A re-designed loud alarm clicker, offset machined handle arm, large soft-touch handle knob, and 9 shielded stainless steel ball bearings support smooth, steady retrieves when fish dig deep.
