It is large enough to pick up quickly when you shoulder the gun, which matters at close range and in home defense, yet small enough to aim precisely on targets at typical carbine and shotgun distances. Because the sight is 1x, what you see through the window matches what you see with your other eye, so you can stay aware of your surroundings while you aim. Simple Controls and Easy Battery Changes The CTS-25 keeps operation simple. Press either of the large function buttons on top to turn the sight on, use plus and minus to raise or lower the dot brightness for the light you are shooting in, and press and hold a button for about three seconds to turn it off. The buttons are big enough to use while wearing gloves. The CR2032 battery sits in a side accessible compartment, so you can swap a battery without pulling the sight off the rail and without losing your zero. A battery is included in the box, so the sight is ready to mount and zero right away. Zeroing the CTS-25 Windage and elevation are fully user adjustable. Remove the turret caps and make adjustments with a small flathead screwdriver, a coin or a cartridge rim. Elevation is on top and windage is on the right side of the sight. Adjustments reference your point of impact, so if your group is low, dial up to bring it to your point of aim. After zeroing, replace the caps to protect the adjusters. Built for Hard Use The housing is machined from 6061 series aluminum and has a matte black finish. Crimson Trace built the CTS-25 to be shock, impact, fog, water and vibration resistant, and it carries an IPX4 water resistance rating, so rain, sweat and splashes at the range or in the field are not a problem.
