The Salewa Mountain Trainer Lite Hiking Shoe is a lightweight, low-cut hiking shoe with a waterproof GORE-TEX lining for alpine approaches and faster-paced hikes. Salewa's 3F system connects the instep, sole, and heel, and a shock-absorbing EVA midsole adds cushion on long descents. What Our Gearhead(R) Experts Are Saying:"On scrambly approaches the rubber toe cap takes the knocks from rock, and the low-cut shape stays nimble over talus. I save boots for the days when snow shows up."
