A long run of fast water fished with a dry-dropper rig is a day of constant casting, and the Ross Cimarron LT Fly Reel keeps the whole setup balanced through it. This trout fly reel is machined from aluminum with aggressive porting that trims weight, so it sits comfortably on modern trout rods. A large arbor picks up line quickly and reduces line memory, and the frame is rebuilt from the ground up as the next step in the Cimarron family. What Our Gearhead(R) Experts Are Saying:"On 6X tippet, the drag gave line smoothly on the first hard run, so the knot held instead of popping. When a stronger trout bolted into fast current, I tightened the drag and it slowed the fish without any stutter."
