"Men's Saucony® Guide TR GTX: If you want a cushioned trail running shoe that can handle wet conditions and mixed terrain without sacrificing comfort, the Guide TR GTX is worth a serious look. Built on a max-cushion platform, this men's Saucony trail shoe gives you the kind of underfoot comfort you'd expect from a road shoe, but with the grip and protection needed when the pavement ends.PWRUN cushioning provides a broad, stable base that absorbs impact and returns energy through each stride, so longer efforts on uneven ground feel less punishing. The PWRTRAC outsole features 3.5mm lugs that dig into dirt, gravel, and loose terrain, giving you confident footing across a range of trail conditions. When the weather turns, the GORE-TEX Invisible Fit upper keeps moisture out while maintaining a comfortable fit around the foot - so you can keep moving through rain, puddles, and wet trails without stopping to worry about soaked socks. Sizing runs about a half size small, so going up half a size is recommended for the best fit.Why Our Fit Experts Love This Shoe""I really like recommending this one to runners who want to get off-road but aren't ready to give up that cushioned, comfortable feel. The GORE-TEX upper is a big deal if you run in the Pacific Northwest or anywhere that gets wet - your feet stay dry even when the trail doesn't cooperate. The lugs grip well without feeling aggressive underfoot."" - Michael, Road Runner Sports Fit Expert, Seattle WAWho It's Best ForIf you run on trails, fire roads, or mixed surfaces and want waterproof protection without giving up cushioning, the Guide TR GTX is a strong fit. It works well for trail runners who deal with wet or unpredictable conditions and want a shoe that transitions smoothly between surfaces. The max-cushion setup makes it a good choice if you prefer a softer, more forgiving ride on longer trail efforts. If you typically size true to size in Saucony, size up a half size for the best fit.
