Wilson Combat Fiber Optic Front Sight Features The Wilson Combat Fiber Optic Front Sight is machined from hardened chromoly steel for durability and a precise repeatable fit in the revolver s frame and it is built specifically for the Ruger GP100 and New Model Blackhawk series. The red fiber optic insert gathers ambient light to produce a bright easy to see dot that speeds up sight acquisition compared to a plain steel blade which benefits both target shooting and tactical or defensive applications. This particular sight is set at the .335 height suited to barrel lengths around 2.5 to 4 inches giving the shooter a correctly regulated point of impact for that configuration. A Black Oxide finish on the body helps the sight resist wear and corrosion through regular use. Installation is straightforward requiring the shooter to depress the spring-loaded plunger pin at the front of the barrel to remove the factory sight then align and slide the new sight into place until the plunger snaps securely into its notch. This design allows the sight to be swapped without specialized gunsmithing tools making it accessible for shooters comfortable doing their own basic maintenance. Because the sight is dimensioned specifically for the GP100 and New Model Blackhawk it will not fit other Ruger revolver platforms so buyers should confirm compatibility before ordering. For GP100 and Blackhawk owners seeking a brighter more precise front sight the Wilson Combat Fiber Optic Front Sight is for sale at GrabAGun.
