Traditions Smackdown XR Features The Traditions Smackdown XR is engineered around a lighter faster bullet platform that extends practical hunting range without sacrificing terminal performance. The copper jacketing process fully encapsulates the lead core which keeps fouling down shot after shot and helps maintain consistent accuracy through a hunting season. The hard polycarbonate tip initiates reliable expansion while the overall shape promotes a flat trajectory and deep penetration on medium to large game. At 250 grains in .50 Cal with a .500 inch sabot diameter and a .45 caliber bullet this load is matched to modern inline muzzleloaders seeking extended range performance. The Ridgeback sabot that ships with every Smackdown XR bullet was redesigned from the ground up to create a reliable gas seal on every shot. Thinner sabot walls combined with horizontal ridges reduce the frictional contact area between the sabot and the barrel which makes loading easier at the range or in the field. A deeper base cup pairs with the reduced barrel contact to deliver a better gas seal translating into improved accuracy and reduced cleanup after firing. Each pack contains 15 Smackdown XR bullets complete with Ridgeback sabots giving hunters a ready supply for sighting in and taking to the field.
