Traditions Smackdown Carnivore Features The Traditions Smackdown Carnivore bullet is built around a hard hitting polycarbonate tip that reduces aerodynamic drag helping the projectile fly straighter and resist wind drift at extended muzzleloader ranges. Manufactured to tight tolerances this all lead bullet carries a thin copper plating and distinct coloration that supports consistent repeatable accuracy from shot to shot. At 305 grains this heavier option in the Carnivore lineup delivers a ballistic coefficient of 0.383 giving it strong retained energy and a flatter trajectory at extended range than lighter options. The bullet s true .500 diameter is sized specifically for serious big game hunting applications where penetration and knockdown power matter. Each bullet comes paired with the redesigned Ridgeback Sabot which reduces sabot wall thickness while adding horizontal ridges to cut the frictional contact area between sabot and barrel. That reduced friction translates into easier loading at the range or in the field while the added ridges create extra layers of gas seal for more consistent pressure behind the bullet. A deeper base cup rounds out the sabot design delivering more accuracy and less fouling buildup after repeated shots. Packaged 15 to a box this Traditions component bullet is intended strictly for reloading and is available for sale at GrabAGun for muzzleloader hunters assembling their own heavy big game loads.
