TacFire AR-15 Long Buffer Features The TacFire AR-15 Long Buffer is machined from solid stainless steel giving it a durable corrosion resistant finish that holds up to repeated cycling inside the buffer tube. At 7 ounces this buffer sits on the heavier end of the AR-15 buffer weight range which is often used to slow bolt carrier velocity and reduce the sharp fast recoil impulse associated with lighter buffers. A heavier buffer can also help tame over gassed systems and suppressed setups where excess gas can otherwise cause harsh cycling and bolt bounce. Builders tuning a rifle for competition home defense or general range use often reach for a long buffer like this to dial in the feel of the gun. Designed to drop into a standard AR-15 buffer tube this buffer requires no modification to install and works alongside a compatible buffer spring. TacFire backs the buffer with a manufacturer limited lifetime warranty giving shooters confidence in its long term durability. Fine tuning buffer weight is one of the simplest and most cost effective ways to improve an AR-15 s reliability and shooting comfort. The TacFire AR-15 Long Buffer gives builders a straightforward upgrade path toward a smoother more controllable rifle.
