SOG Specialty Knives Tactical Bushcraft Hatchet Features The SOG Specialty Knives Tactical Bushcraft Hatchet is built around a 4.24 inch cutting head forged from 5Cr15MoV steel a corrosion resistant alloy that holds an edge well through repeated chopping and splitting tasks. At 6.55mm thick the head is substantial enough to deliver real chopping power without becoming overly heavy for extended carry. A black oxide finish on the blade adds further corrosion resistance while giving the hatchet a low visibility tactical appearance in the field. The ax style blade profile is shaped for efficient wood processing whether building a fire clearing brush or handling general bushcraft chores. The handle is wrapped in micarta a material known for maintaining a secure non-slip grip even when wet or covered in sweat which matters considerably when swinging a sharp tool. At 14 inches overall and roughly 42 ounces the hatchet strikes a balance between enough mass to chop effectively and a compact enough size to remain genuinely portable. A kydex sheath accompanies the hatchet providing safe secure carry and quick access when the tool is needed. The SOG Tactical Bushcraft Hatchet with its 4.25 inch blade is for sale at GrabAGun for anyone who wants a rugged dependable hatchet for the field.
