Remington Aluminum Shotgun Cleaning Kit Features The Remington Aluminum Shotgun Cleaning Kit replaces heavier traditional rod materials with a lightweight aluminum design while maintaining Mil-Spec 8-32 threads that are 20 percent stronger than standard threading. This added thread strength means the rods and attachments stay securely connected during scrubbing reducing the chance of a jag or brush coming loose inside the bore. The kit includes brass brushes sized for shotgun bores which clear out fouling and residue without damaging the barrel s interior surface. Nylon jags and cotton patch loops round out the patch based cleaning process letting the user follow brushing with a thorough wipe down of the bore. A barrel muzzle guard protects the crown of the barrel from accidental contact with the cleaning rod helping preserve the precise machining at the muzzle that affects pattern and accuracy. Mops included in the kit help apply solvent or oil evenly through the length of the barrel during the cleaning process. Although designed and marketed specifically for shotguns the broader Remington cleaning rod lineup is built to service rifle handgun and shotgun shooters across multiple cleanings. The Remington Aluminum Shotgun Cleaning Kit suits shotgun owners who want a complete Mil-Spec built kit for regular maintenance.
