Redding Reloading Premium Handgun 3-Die Set Features The Redding Premium Handgun 3-Die Set opens with a titanium carbide sizing die which resizes .44 Special and .44 Mag brass without requiring case lubrication speeding up the reloading process at the bench. The newly designed expander die uses Redding s proprietary expander plug now coated in Titanium Nitride for added surface hardness lubricity and durability while also reducing brass buildup that can slow down high-volume reloading. As the case travels up into the expander a radiused base eases entry into the case mouth followed by a parallel expander section that trues the case internally to create a proper bearing surface for the bullet during seating. A small step then aligns the bullet with the centerline of the case for uniform contact with the seating micrometer and a final flare opens the case mouth to prevent cast bullets from shaving lead during seating. The Seating Die completes the set with Redding s Bullet Seating Micrometer giving a reloader precise repeatable control over overall cartridge length shot after shot. This die also includes either a taper or roll crimp appropriate to the .44 Special or .44 Mag cartridge finishing each round with consistent neck tension. All three dies feature an enhanced lead-in design that makes them easier to use on progressive reloading presses reducing the chance of a case hanging up during the loading cycle. For reloaders loading .44 Special or .44 Mag ammunition who want the added precision of a micrometer seating die alongside carbide sizing this Redding Premium set delivers a complete upgraded handgun die solution.
