The micrometer is calibrated in .001 inch increments for precise seating depth and adjusts infinitely without clicks letting a handloader dial in and repeat an exact depth load after load. A micrometer setting feature also lets the reloader mark their preferred seating depth for a favorite .45 ACP load so it can be returned to quickly on future runs.
