Patriot Ordnance Factory LMR Base Features The Patriot Ordnance Factory LMR Base is engineered around a Carbon Fiber Wrapped 16.5 stainless steel barrel that sheds weight while retaining the rigidity needed for accuracy giving the whole rifle a class-leading 6-pound weight for a .308 semi-automatic. Its mid-length direct impingement gas system and 1:8 twist rate are matched to the cartridge for reliable cycling and consistent downrange performance across common bullet weights. The KeyLock DI bolt carrier group and Patriot Ordnance Factory s E2 extraction technology work together to pull and eject spent cases cleanly reducing the chance of a stoppage under hard use. An A2 flash hider caps the threaded muzzle preserving the option to add a suppressor or muzzle device later. Handling comes from a forged receiver set a 15 M-LOK rail system that gives the shooter room to mount lights optics or a foregrip exactly where needed and an anodized aluminum frame finished in black. The Mission First Tactical Minimalist stock adjusts to fit different shooters and shooting positions while the A2 pistol grip keeps the manual of arms familiar to anyone who has run an AR-pattern rifle before. A 2-position safety mil-spec trigger and roller cam pin round out a rifle built from proprietary patented innovations rather than off-the-shelf parts. Feeding from a 20-round polymer AR-style magazine the LMR Base suits hunters and tactical shooters who want a lightweight reliable .308 for field and range use alike.
