Lee Precision Collet Neck Sizing Die Features The Lee Collet Neck Sizing Die uses a collet that squeezes the case neck evenly around a precision ground mandrel producing a neck that is perfectly aligned with the case body and bullet for minimum runout. This method of sizing avoids the common issue of an expander ball dragging and bending the neck on the way out of the case which is a major source of runout in conventional dies. Because only the neck is worked no case lubrication step is needed before running brass through the die which saves time and keeps the reloading process cleaner. This die is chambered specifically for the 7mm PRC cartridge and sizes to a .284 inch bullet diameter. Minimizing the amount of brass working on each firing extends case life significantly with Lee noting that the savings from loading just 35 cases can pay for the dies themselves. Reloaders can expect to get many more firings out of the same batch of brass compared to full-length sizing every time. This neck sizing die is sold on its own making it a straightforward addition to a reloader s existing die set for improving the accuracy of 7mm PRC handloads. For precision rifle shooters chasing tighter groups and longer brass life this Lee Collet die is a focused upgrade to the sizing step of the reloading process.
