Kershaw Lateral Features The Kershaw Lateral opens quickly with SpeedSafe assisted opening and a built-in flipper letting the user deploy the blade one-handed whenever a task calls for it. Its 3.1 inch blade is made from 8Cr13MoV steel a material that takes a sharp edge easily and is simple to re-sharpen once it dulls from regular use. The drop point shape with a slight recurve adds versatility to the blade s cutting geometry while the partially serrated section handles tougher materials like rope that a plain edge alone would struggle with. A black-oxide coating finishes the blade improving its resistance to corrosion during daily carry and use. The handle is built from glass-filled nylon with a swooping ergonomic texture that stays comfortable in hand through repeated cutting tasks. A liner lock secures the blade open during use and a custom backspacer rounds out the handle s construction. The extra-deep-carry pocket clip is reversible letting both left and right-handed users carry the knife in their preferred orientation. Closed the Lateral measures 4.3 inches and opens to a full 7.4 inches giving it a compact folded size that still delivers a useful working blade length for everyday carry and work site tasks.
