Heckler and Koch SP5 Features The Heckler and Koch SP5 runs on the roller-delayed blowback operating system first perfected on the HK G3 rifle a design prized for its accuracy reliability and smooth shooting dynamic. The 8.86 Navy barrel carries a threaded tri-lug adaptor and a fluted chamber giving the platform authentic MP5 heritage while meeting the legal definition of a civilian pistol. An ambidextrous thumb safety and a paddle magazine release make the controls fast and intuitive to run under pressure. The muzzle is threaded 1/2x28 in addition to the tri-lug mount so a wide range of muzzle devices and suppressors can be added by the end user. Precision-machined components and the same Oberndorf workforce that has built MP5s for years give the SP5 a level of fit and finish that matches its military lineage. A Davidson s Dark Earth finish sets this SP5 apart with a distinctive frame color while retaining the standard HK hooded front sight and U-notch rear sight for fast target acquisition. An elastic bungee sling installs directly onto the rear sling swivel hardware adding stability and reducing fatigue during extended shooting sessions. As the backbone of the world s most popular pistol-caliber carbine platform the Heckler and Koch SP5 is supported by an enormous aftermarket of rails handguards and accessories for sale at GrabAGun.
