Guntec AR10 A2 Buffer Features The Guntec USA AR10 A2 Buffer is built to rifle length A2 specifications for .308 Win platform rifles ensuring correct bolt carrier group timing and reliable cycling. Although it shares the same general A2 buffer category as a 5.56 rifle length buffer this version is slightly shorter to account for the different receiver dimensions used on AR-10 pattern rifles. Maintaining the correct buffer weight and length is important for proper function since an incorrectly sized buffer can cause cycling issues ranging from short-stroking to excessive bolt carrier velocity. Guntec USA manufactures this buffer to mil-spec tolerances helping ensure a reliable fit in standard AR-10 pattern lower receivers. Constructed from stainless steel internals and weighing 5.3 ounces the buffer is built to withstand the repeated impact cycling that occurs every time the rifle is fired. This weight is specifically tuned for the A2 rifle length buffer tube and spring combination common to AR-10 platform rifles. Replacing a worn or incorrect buffer with this mil-spec unit can restore proper function to a rifle that is cycling unreliably. Made in the USA this buffer is a straightforward correctly specified component for AR-10 builders and owners performing maintenance or upgrades on their .308 platform rifle.
