GunTec AR9 Buffer and Spring Combo Features The GunTec AR9 Buffer and Spring Combo pairs a carbine length buffer with a matching Teflon coated chrome spring to deliver smooth consistent cycling tuned specifically for the lighter recoil impulse of 9mm Luger. The buffer weighs 8.2 ounces and measures 4 inches long giving the bolt carrier the mass it needs to properly time the action in a pistol caliber carbine build. Its stainless steel body resists wear over repeated cycles while the clear polyurethane bumper absorbs the final impact at the rear of the stroke to reduce felt recoil and buffer tube wear. The Teflon coating on the spring reduces friction helping the system cycle reliably even as fouling builds up over extended range sessions. This buffer and spring set is designed to work with any mil-spec receiver extension making it a straightforward drop-in upgrade or replacement for AR9 builders. Because 9mm carbines rely on a buffer system matched to the cartridge rather than a standard 5.56 setup using a combo engineered for this caliber helps avoid short-stroking or excessive bolt bounce. The combination of a stainless body polyurethane bumper and chrome spring gives builders a durable long-lasting set that stands up to high round counts. It is a practical affordable way to finish out or tune a 9mm AR platform build.
