Franklin Armory OPS-11 Features The Franklin Armory OPS-11 is built around a low-profile piston operating system a design choice that keeps gas and carbon out of the receiver for a cleaner-running smoother-cycling gun than a comparable direct-impingement pistol. That piston is shrouded by a proprietary slimline M-LOK handguard with a built-in barrier stop which lets the shooter drive the gun hard into a barricade or support without binding up the action underneath. Chambered in 5.56 NATO and feeding from a 30-round magazine the OPS-11 pairs compact size with real magazine capacity for a pistol-length platform. The headline feature is Franklin Armory s patented Binary Firing System which fires one round on trigger pull and a second on trigger release giving the OPS-11 a rate of fire well beyond standard semi-auto while remaining a single deliberate trigger press for each half of the cycle. An 11 threaded barrel keeps the OPS-11 maneuverable in tight spaces while still allowing a Franklin Armory Triumvir linear-compensating flash suppressor to manage muzzle flash and recoil impulse without the side blast of a traditional brake. The threaded muzzle also leaves the barrel ready for a suppressor or alternate muzzle device as the shooter s needs change. A Picatinny optic rail sits ready for a red dot or magnified optic letting the pistol serve as a fast-handling home defense or range gun right out of the box. The B5 Systems pistol grip and SB Tactical SBA5 brace give the OPS-11 a secure adjustable hold and the synthetic furniture throughout keeps the package light without sacrificing durability. Finished in a black anodized coating for corrosion resistance and a low-visibility look the Franklin Armory OPS-11 is a purpose-built 5.56 AR pistol for shooters who want Binary trigger performance in a compact piston-driven package.
