Daisy 499 Champion Elite Features The Daisy 499 Champion Elite is built around a spring operated lever action power plant that loads a single .177 caliber steel BB at a time through its smooth bore steel barrel. That single shot muzzle-loading design is intentional built to reinforce safe deliberate handling habits for new and developing shooters. A muzzle velocity of 240 fps delivers enough energy for target work at competition distances while keeping the rifle approachable for younger shooters. The manual safety adds another layer of control that complements structured instructor-led shooting programs. Competition-grade sighting comes from a hooded front sight with aperture inserts paired with an adjustable rear peep sight giving shooters the precision needed for consistent scoring. The hardwood stock features a Monte Carlo profile with a satin finish and a 13.25 inch length of pull sized for younger shooters. An embedded medallion marks the rifle as an Official Shooting Education BB Gun reflecting its long history in formal marksmanship instruction. At an overall length of 36.25 inches and a weight of just 3.1 pounds the Daisy 499 Champion Elite is light enough to handle comfortably while still delivering the accuracy competitive programs demand.
