Claybuster Shotshell Wad Features The Claybuster 12 gauge wad is engineered for loads between 1 and 1-1/8 ounces with 1-1/8 ounce identified as the optimum charge weight for consistent patterns. Acting as a barrier between powder and shot the wad ensures proper powder ignition while sealing propellant gases behind the shot column so pressure is used efficiently to drive the load down the barrel. This design also protects the bore from damage caused by hard shot while shielding softer shot from deformation against the steel barrel walls. Built for Federal and all import hulls the wad fits a wide range of commonly reloaded shotshell components. Finished in pink for easy visual identification on the loading bench each wad fills the extra space inside the hull so the shot and powder charge stay properly seated without shifting. These wads suit trap skeet sporting clays and hunting loads alike giving reloaders one wad that covers multiple shooting disciplines. Sold 500 to a bag this quantity keeps a reloading bench well stocked for an extended loading session. Shotgun reloaders looking for a dependable 12 gauge wad for their next batch of shells will find the Claybuster wad a solid affordable choice.
