Century Arms Portuguese M/937A Features The Century Arms Portuguese M/937A is a bolt-action military surplus rifle chambered in 8mm Mauser a cartridge known for its historical role in European service rifles through two world wars. Its 23.6 inch barrel and overall length of 44.75 inches give it the balanced full-length proportions typical of early twentieth century bolt guns. The blued metal finish covers the receiver and barrel offering a traditional surplus look along with a reasonable level of corrosion resistance for a rifle of this vintage. A 5-round magazine capacity feeds the bolt action giving the shooter a practical number of rounds on tap for range sessions with surplus ammunition. The hardwood stock is original to the rifle s military configuration and shows the wear expected of a service rifle that has seen decades of use. This particular example is non-matching meaning the bolt receiver and other visible parts do not share the same serial number a common condition on surplus rifles imported after long periods of depot storage and repair. It is graded in good condition and will need cleaning before heavy use and it ships as-is with no returns accepted so buyers should expect a genuine unrefurbished surplus rifle rather than a like-new arm. A cleaning kit is included with the rifle giving new owners the basic tools needed to get the bore and action serviceable making this Portuguese M/937A a solid entry point for collectors of historic military bolt-action rifles.
