Carlsons Snap Caps Features Carlsons Snap Caps use a spring-loaded striking area that cushions and protects the firing pin preventing the metal-on-metal impact that dry firing on an empty chamber can cause over time. Precision machined to true SAAMI specifications for 6.5 Creedmoor these snap caps feed chamber and eject just like a live round which makes them effective for diagnosing and practicing malfunction clearances. The aluminum construction will not damage the chamber extractor or ejector the way an improperly sized dummy round might. Correctly hardened primer material prevents striker or firing pin over-protrusion protecting the gun s internal components from repeated use. This orange 2-pack gives shooters enough snap caps to simulate basic function and malfunction drills without needing a full magazine of dummy rounds. Dry fire practice with snap caps is a critical training tool for learning trigger control and building muscle memory without the cost or noise of live ammunition. They are equally useful for new shooters learning the basics and experienced competitors refining their technique.
